Who Are We

Brightlands Childcare Centres are purpose-built centres privately owned and operated. The Centres had been designed with an aim to create a rich and safe learning environment for children to receive quality early childhood-care and education. Our innovative environments have been carefully designed and abundantly resourced with stimulating educational resources to encourage children's creativity and social interactions.
Our goal is to develop children for the next stage in their lives as confident and emotionally intelligent leaders while nurturing their uniqueness.
Our play based and child centred approach helps children learn through investigations based on their interests, while developing confidence in their capabilities.
As children explore and experience the environment, they learn foundational language, science and mathematical concepts in a far more meaningful way. Our curriculum is also based on the principles and goals of Te Whāriki, New Zealand's Early Childhood Education national curriculum.
Our vision is to become a centre of excellence for the early childhood education sector by ensuring:
-
Educational programmes and practice of teachers are child-centred, stimulating and maximise opportunities for enhancing and extending each child’s learning and development.
-
We deliver high quality early learning and care in an environment that is stimulatory, supportive and that safeguards and promotes their health, safety and wellbeing.
-
Physical environment that are safe, suitable and provides a rich and diverse range of experiences that promote children’s learning and development.
-
We attract and retain highly engaged teachers who are qualified and experienced and develop warm, respectful relationships with children, create predictable environments and encourage children’s active engagement in the learning programme.
-
Our relationships with children are responsive, respectful and promote children’s sense of security and belonging.
-
We form collaborative and genuine relationships with families, as we believe these are fundamental to achieving quality outcomes for children, and build community partnerships based on active communication, consultation and collaboration.
-
Effective leadership and governance of the Centre to establish shared values and clear direction for the Centre that contributes to quality environments for children’s learning and development, we and ensure our teachers are fully engaged and supported with recognition and professional development.
